Where We Ship

Products ordered on augustacoop.com can be shipped to the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia. Always make sure you enter the correct zip code.

Orders will not be processed online for shipping to areas outside the United States. Also, orders cannot be placed online for shipping to APO/FPO mailboxes, Post Office boxes, or Private Mail Boxes (PMB).

  • For shipment of orders to international destinations, contact Augusta Co-op directly at (540)885-1265 ext 231 or 232 during normal business hours or e-mail webmaster@augustacoop.com. We will work with you on the order and get a shipping quote. You will be contacted for verification and approval. Verification must also be verbally received from the card holder’s bank. Once approval is received, the order will be processed and shipped. Regulations may prevent certain items from being shipped to international destinations.
  • International orders are subject to duties and taxes. The recipient is responsible for payment of applicable duties, taxes and other fees. Please contact your Customs office for information on duties, taxes, and restricted items.
  • For shipment of orders to APO/FPO addresses, contact Augusta Co-op directly at (540)885-1265 ext 231 or 232 during normal business hours or email webmaster@augustacoop.com. We will work with you on the order and get a shipping quote. Once all information is verified, the order can be processed and shipped. Orders must be shipped by US Postal Service.
  • Orders will not be shipped to Post Office Boxes or Private Mail Boxes (PMB). A street address must be provided.

Shipping Rates

All Shipping Rates are determined by the total weight and dimensions of the items purchased as well as the shipping zone and zip code that the item(s) are being shipped to. A shipping charge will be designated on the order at the time of checkout. Items that weigh less than 50 lbs and that are not larger than 48 inches in length will be shipped by UPS for most orders. The order(s) will be shipped by UPS Standard Ground. Augusta Co-op reserves the right to select another shipping option if necessary. For example, very small items may be shipped by the US Postal Service (USPS). Also, items including vaccines and biologicals may be drop-shipped from the distributor or manufacturer. Orders where multiple items are purchased, items are large in size , and/or the total weight exceeds 70 lbs may be shipped by another method such as truck freight instead of UPS. Augusta Co-op reserves the right to ship purchases of multiple bags, tubs, or blocks of feed or other bulky items by motor freight.

In the instance where a FREE shipping option is offered on items for an online order, this FREE shipping offer applies to orders that weigh less than 47 lbs in total weight and UPS Standard Ground must be selected as the shipping option.  An order also cannot be over 48 inches in shipping length or width.  The total of the order must reach the designated dollar amount before taxes and other charges apply.  If an order includes biologicals that must be refrigerated, the order must be able to be shipped to a location within 2 days by UPS Standard Ground or by the USPS Priority Mail 2 day service in order to qualify for the FREE shipping offer.  The FREE shipping offer only applies to orders that can be shipped in the lower 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia.

Augusta Co-op also offers the option of local delivery by one of Augusta Co-op’s delivery truck for purchases of heavy items such as multiple bags of feed. In general, the truck delivery option applies to multiple product purchases and bulky items where the total weight exceeds 67 lbs. Local delivery is limited to within 30 miles of an Augusta Co-op store. For more details on local delivery, contact your local Augusta Co-op store.

Most UPS shipments should follow the in-transit map below. However, there may be delays due to circumstances beyond our control. For shipment in the lower 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia by UPS Standard Ground or USPS, allow up to 10 business days. A shipment option with Saturday delivery is not available. Vaccines and biologicals may be shipped from a different location than the in-transit map specified below.

Some taxing authorities also require the taxable amount to include any shipping and handling charges while others charge sales tax on the merchandise only. In Virginia, the sales tax applies to the total cost of the items plus the shipping cost. Also, shipping costs are not subject to a sales tax exemption even if a sales tax exemption form is on file.

In-Transit Map

For UPS Ground Transit, the map gives a general guideline as to when to expect shipment of your order. As noted above, there may be exceptions to this time-in-transit. Allow 2 extra days for shipment to Alaska and Hawaii.

Shipping Timeline

Business shipping days are Monday-Friday except for Holidays.

All on-line orders placed by 2PM Eastern Time for shipment by UPS will be shipped the same day if all items are in stock at the Staunton retail store location and warehouse. Orders placed after 2PM Eastern Time will be shipped the next business day. For orders where an item is out of stock or there is a question on an item, the shipment may be delayed until all items can be filled on the order. Items that are not in stock at the Staunton retail store and warehouse may be drop-shipped from a distributor or another Augusta Co-op location at Augusta Co-op’s discretion. Exceptions may apply to certain items such as vaccines and biologicals that need to be refrigerated. Augusta Co-op also reserves the right to split shipments for items placed on one order as needed. Certain items such as bags, blocks or tubs of feed, gates, fencings, bags or bales of lawn & garden items, and other bulky items may be delivered by motor freight only.

Exceptions may apply to certain items such as vaccines and biologicals that need to be refrigerated, oversized, and hazardous items. This includes bags, blocks or tubs of feed, bales or bags of lawn & garden items, gates, fencing, or any other item that may be considered oversized or overweight.

Vaccines and Biologicals

Due to circumstances beyond our control and ever-changing weather conditions, vaccines and other biologicals are to be shipped in a styrofoam cooler/insulated container year-round. A cooler/container will help protect your vaccines/biologicals from freezing in the winter and from getting too warm in non-winter months. Frozen gel packs will also be included at no charge in your cooler/container during non-winter months. If frozen gel packs are warm when you receive your shipment, don’t be alarmed, this is normal. Simply refrigerate your vaccines/biologicals as soon as you get them.

Vaccines and other biologicals that require refrigeration will be shipped as follows:

  • Orders placed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays by 2PM Eastern Time will be shipped same day via UPS standard ground (2 day), 2nd day air or next day air depending on customer selection.
  • Orders placed on Thursdays will be shipped the same day by UPS next day air or the following Monday for UPS standard ground (2 day) or UPS 2nd day air depending on customer selection.
  • Orders placed on Fridays will not be shipped until the following Monday and will be shipped via UPS standard ground (2 day), 2nd day air or next day air depending on customer selection.

Vaccine and biological orders of $250 or more are eligible for FREE UPS Standard Ground shipping (2 day service) for shipments within the 48 contiguous United States.

Vaccine and biological orders of $500 or more are eligible for FREE UPS 2nd Day Air shipping for shipments within the 48 contiguous United States.

Customer is responsible for all charges if UPS next day air service is selected.

Vaccine and biological orders of $250 or more will be drop-shipped from a distributor. Orders under $250 will either be shipped from Augusta Co-op’s Staunton retail location or drop-shipped from a distributor at Augusta Co-op’s discretion.

Customers are strongly encouraged to select UPS standard ground as their shipping option for areas east of 103 degrees longitude in the contiguous 48 states. The vaccines and biologicals can arrive at the final destination in two days at a much more economical rate than 2nd day air. The shipment arrival time for either shipping option will be nearly identical and will vary by only a few hours.

Selected areas of the United States are NOT eligible for UPS Standard Ground shipping with 2 day service. Vaccines and biologicals MUST be shipped to these areas via UPS 2nd day air or UPS next day air to ensure that they arrive within 2 days of shipment. These areas are as follows:

Alaska, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, and Washington state.

All of Wyoming (except for the area south and east of Casper and Rawlins)

Areas of New York that are EAST of I-88. Also, Areas of New York that are NORTH of I-90

Areas of Texas that are WEST of the Fort Stockton-Monahans area and Rt 385 south of Fort Stockton

US Territories of American Samoa, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia

Due to state laws, vaccines and biologicals cannot be shipped to Rhode Island or Minnesota.

Vaccines and biologicals will not be shipped by the UPS 3-day Select option.

It is strongly encouraged that customers order vaccines and biologicals separately from other items when placing orders on the online catalog. Augusta Co-op reserves the right to ship items placed on one order in separate shipments.

Oversized and Hazardous Items

Oversized and hazardous items will be subject to additional shipping fees. For large items such as fencing, gates, purchases of multiple items such as bags, blocks, bales, or tubs that weigh 50 lbs or more, or any other heavy item over 47 lbs in weight, these items must be shipped by truck freight to areas outside of Augusta Co-op’s normal local delivery routes. Call Augusta Co-op directly at (540)885-1265 ext 231 or 232 or (877)908-5649 to place your order for oversized and heavy items. We will get a shipping quote for you for items that must be shipped by truck freight. Because flammable items must be shipped via surface shipping, they may be shipped separately from the rest of your order.

Promotional shipping offers do not apply to oversized, overweight, hazardous, and multiple bag, block, bale, or tub shipments.

Backorders

Backorders of over $15 will be shipped within 21 business days at no additional charge. If it appears that it will take longer than 21 days to fill a backorder, Augusta Co-op will contact the customer to see if he/she still wants to wait on the item from the manufacturer or distributor. A customer may choose to cancel a backorder at any time prior to shipment by contacting Augusta Co-op at (540)885-1265 ext 231 or 232 or (877)908-5649.

Order Tracking

Once an order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number. You can use this order tracking number to track your shipment. Please keep in mind that it may take 24 hours for a tracking number to be activated.

Reasons that you may not be able to receive an e-mail notification are as follows:

  • Recipient’s e-mail account is over quota
  • Firewall or spam filter is blocking correspondence
  • E-mail address provided is misspelled

Returns

Return Authorization & Policies

Items purchased online may be returned or exchanged to Augusta Co-op by mail or at a retail store location within 90 days of shipment. A copy of the original invoice must accompany the return. Items returned or exchanged must be in original condition with no signs of damage or use. Original tags must be in place.

If you are requesting to return an item due to an incorrect item being shipped or damaged during transit, you must notify Augusta Co-op within 10 business days of receiving the shipment.

In the case of an incorrect item, you will be given a return authorization number. Augusta Co-op will issue a call tag for a carrier (UPS, FedEx or USPS) to pick up the package and return to Augusta Co-op. Please ship back in the original box and enclose the original invoice. The item will either be replaced or credit will be issued back on purchasing credit card. In the case of an error on our part in the shipment of your order, the customer will be refunded the original shipping charges. Shipping charges will not be refunded in any other returns or exchanges.

In the case of item(s) damaged during transit, Augusta Co-op will contact the carrier to inspect the shipment. Please keep it in the original box and notify us immediately (within 72 business business hours). Please keep all damaged goods for inspection by the carrier’s representative. If a package appears damaged at the time of delivery, you have the right to refuse it – please notify us of refused package within 72 hours. If you need replacement merchandise, please notify us immediately.
Certain items are not returnable. This includes vaccines and biologicals that need to refrigerated, hazardous items, and clearance corral or discontinued items. Other items not returnable include books, CDs, DVDs, dewormers, flea and tick topical treatments, and special orders. No returns will be accepted on these items.

Return By Mail

You must request a return authorization number when returning an item by mail. The original invoice and all original packaging and tags must be included in your return. You must also write your return authorization number and include it in the package. Please indicate if you are exchanging an item for a different size, color, etc. or if you are requesting a refund. Items may be mailed back to the following address:

For your protection, we suggest that you mail the package back by UPS. Once we receive your package and inspect it, your exchange or return will be processed.

For original purchases made online by credit card, a refund will be issued back on purchasing card. Allow up to 14 business days for a return to be processed.

Return In-Store

Items purchased online may be exchanged or returned at an Augusta Co-op retail store under the policies stated above. The original invoice must accompany the return.
