Description
Prevents annual grassy weeds from growing in flower and vegetable beds and around trees and shrubs for up to 3 months. Works as a pre-emergent weed control by forming a weed control barrier in the top layer of soil, preventing weed seeds from germinating. Controls annual bluegrass, cheat grass, goosegrass, henbit, lambsquarter, fall panicum, wild oat and other listed weeds. Contains 1.47% Trifluralin.
Apply Preen anytime during the growing season around established plants and transplants. Do not use on flower seeds. It can be used on flowering plants that have germinated and are 2-3 inches tall. First, remove existing weeds. Then, sprinkle Preen evenly over the entire soil surface or on top of mulch (preferred method). Sprinkle at the rate of 1 oz per 10 sq ft. Keep granules away from plant roots and foliage. Immediately water in product. If you can’t water in product into the top layer, then lightly rake into the top layer. Always wash or brush off stray granules from plant foliage to avoid damage or discoloration.
Refer to the product label for specific application instructions. Reapply every 9-12 weeks during the growing season. DO NOT apply to wet foliage.
