An energy-free waterer designed for use in cold temperatures. Thick 2″ insulation helps to keep water warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Smooth, rounded poly exterior is maintenance free and prevents damage to animals. Convenient center access to valve area. Contains a newer type non-siphoning Franklin BL water valve which features fast, consistent fill. Balls require less pressure to push down that competitors balls. 5 year limited warranty on body and 1 year warranty on valves and controls. Holds up to 20 gallons of water with a capacity of 160 head of beef cattle or 70 head of dairy cattle. 23″ drinking height, 21″ width, and 36″ length. Cosed dark interior discourages algae and bacteria growth.
*minimum number of 20 animals need to be drinking from the unit in freezing conditions to achieve frost-free operation. Unit must be installed according to instructions with proper sealing on concrete pad. It is highly recommended to install a thermal tube and a shut-off valve kit in conjunction with this unit. For more insulation value and better performance in consistently below freezing temperatures, consider purchasing the Behlen Super 4 hole unit instead (sold separately).
