Description
Augusta Co-Op’s most popular turf seed mix. A
proprietary blend of the right turf varieties to meet the needs of the
Shenandoah Valley. Drought tolerant and disease resistant. Maintains color
later into fall and earlier in spring. Contains the following varieties to meet
growing conditions all season long:
- 34.30% Contender Creeping
Red Fescue
- 19.64% Palmer III Perennial Ryegrass
- 19.60% Bonfield Perennial
Ryegrass
- 14.70% Appalachian Kentucky Bluegrass
- 9.78% Creeping Red Fescue
Seeding Rate – 8 lbs/1,000 sq ft for new yard or 4
lbs/1,000 sq ft for overseeding at a depth of
1/4″. Seedling emergence takes approximately 7 to 21 days. Light
watering is critical for seedling germination and establishment. The first
mowing can occur 4 to 6 weeks after seedling germination if good growing
conditions have been present. Mow at a height of 3″.
