Description
A self-catch style headgate. Useful for working any cattle herd but especially when only one person is working the cattle as it automatically catches the animal’s head as they enter the headgate. Medium-duty design for cattle weighing up to 1100 lbs. Works with lightweight calves and stocker cattle. Can be mounted to wooden alley posts with bolts if just purchasing the headgate itself. Otherwise, it is available as part of the Tarter Cattleman Squeeze Chute (sold separately).

*Can be used with very small sized cows or breeds of cows that are considerably smaller than your most common English cattle breeds. However, it is generally not recommended to use this headgate with today’s modern cowherds where average cow weights easily exceed 1000 lbs.
