Description
50 lb. bag. Made from 100% composted cow manure. Does not contain fillers. An all natural, organic way to improve native soils. Holds water and nutrients in the soil around the roots. Provides aeration and moisture holding capacity to hard, clay-type soils. Gives your plants roots the optimum environment to get started. Contains millions of beneficial bacteria which convert nitrogen and other nutrients into an easily available form for the plant. Fertilizer analysis 0.5-0.5-1.0 (N-P-K).
Trees and shrubs – Dig hole 2-3 times as wide as root ball and 6″ deeper than root ball. Mix manure with an equal part of soil from planting hole. Put 6″ of manure/soil mix in bottom of hole. Place plant to desired depth. Add more mix to fill hole. Use remaining soil to build berm at top of hole. Add mulch on top if desired
Flower beds & gardens – Add 5-8 lbs per square foot of bed. Spread a layer 1-1/2″ thick. Mix into top 6″ of soil. Add 1/2″ layer 1-2 times per year
New lawns – Spread 100 lbs per 50 square feet (spread 1/2″ thick)
Topdress existing lawns – Add 100 lbs per 100 sq. feet once a year
